With society growing more accepting of ones personal preferences, will the world be completely accepting of tattoos in the years coming? Just getting my first tattoo today, I contemplated where the perfect spot would be for hours. My first idea was the inner wrist, it would be a cute spot to put a little dove. Talking to my parents about it, they questioned what if I ended up in a super professional job? What if I had to cover it up every day? Would it be worth it? My parent’s generation is next in line to become the bosses, the CEO’s, and the owners in businesses and their generation is when tattoos became more popular amongst young people. So, with our future bosses having tattoos, will the next banker, real estate agent, lawyer, doctor have an arm sleeve of tattoos? Will society be more accepting to tattoos, piercings and exotic hair?
I ended up getting my tattoo on my hip, but in 15 years if I have a tattoo on my arm or anywhere visible, will I get hired?
